We love discovering new event venues in Cleveland. SmARTspace at 78th combines everything we love here at Borrow; an eclectic, rustic and creative venue available to rent for events and weddings.
Housed in the old American Greetings building- now 78th Street Studios, this space is different. It is completely Cleveland, with all of its’ industrial charm and classic old wood floors and exposed brick and stone. Borrow was fortunate to showcase some of our hightop tables as part of the Foundry Collection by Reclaimed Cleveland in the Kokoon Arts Gallery in conjunction with the Third Friday event Rust Belt (re)visions. The true highlight in having three of our hightop tables in this space was not just the aesthetic of the room, it was the artwork! Paintings from local artist Randall Tiedman and prints by graphic artist Michael Nekic were on the walls. It created such an interesting depth and warmth to the room and the fabulous food from J.Pistone didn’t hurt the warm and full feeling either!
Our team at Borrow had such a fun time discussing the potential for what Borrow could add to this already unique space. Farmhouse tables, wooden chairs, rustic hightop tables and a unique bar could really add a beautiful touch to a spectacularly smART venue. We can’t wait to do an event here!

Lastly, I have to give a shout out to The Cleveland Anthology – Rust Belt Chic. Anne Trubek and Richey Piiparinen were at the Rust Belt (re)visions event doing book signings. I purchased the signed anthology and haven’t regretted it for a second. Book report to follow:)
